Why should I see an Esthetician?
Esthetics is the application of various treatments to the skin to help maintain its health and vitality. We are professionally trained in skin wellness, ingredient knowledge, effectively treating skin issues, and helping their clients achieve a healthy, youthful complexion in the safest way possible.
When is the best time to book a facial and which one should I choose?
The Rejuvenating Spa Facial is the perfect choice for getting started on your skincare journey. I recommend booking 5-7 days before or after any special occasion or event. Click here for more information on what to expect and how to safely prepare for your appointment.
Are walk-in or same-day appointments available?
Services are provided by appointment only and appointments can be made up to 1 hour before your preferred time. Tip: check the calendar first thing in the morning for accurate availability.

Do you offer chemical peels or dermaplaning?
I am unable to offer dermaplaning at this time as it is not within the scope of practice outlined by the state. Chemical peels are coming soon and will only be offered to facial clients of The Brown Skin Co. who have received at least 4 consecutive facial treatments to prep the skin. Prepare now by booking your first facial!
This is my first time getting a brazilian wax. What can I expect and how can I prepare for my appointment?

Is there an age restriction on waxing?
Yes. Intimate waxing services are currently for age 18+ only. Other waxing services can be provided for 13+ with a parent or guardian present.
Do you perform male brazilians?
Waxing services are currently being provided to persons 18+ with female anatomy only.
Do I have to be a person of color to be serviced here?
Absolutely not. The Brown Skin Co. welcomes all ethnicities and skin tones.
Any precautions I should know about?
Precautions for LED Treatments
+ Extreme sensitivity to light - migraines brought on by bright light
+ Use of photosensitizing drugs
+ Melasma or hyperpigmentation exacerbated by mild warmth
+ Accutane should be discontinued for 6 months in advance of treatment
+ Clients who are pregnant
+ Clients with a foreign body object like a pacemaker
+ Clients with suspicious lesions or skin cancers should consult a medical professional
+ Clients who are being treated for any serious health condition should seek approval from a medical professional before undergoing LED therapy
Pregnancy Precautions
Services may be adjusted for safety. No high-frequency or LED therapy services.
I just started my cycle what can I do?
While you may be more sensitive during your service, you are welcome to get waxed on a light period if you wear a tampon or menstrual cup.
Can I pick up my Skin Script Rx order?
No. At this time Skin Script products are available for dropshipping only. The products will be shipped directly to you from the company. Standard shipping is available for a flat rate of $5. If you have an order that also includes a pick-up item leave a note requesting to pick up your item in the notes section at checkout.
I don't know what products to choose, can you help me decide?
Unless you are a current facial client, the best way to ensure you purchase products that are beneficial to your skin is by booking the Rejuvenating Spa Facial for an in-depth skin analysis.
